Most toys that are plastic are not toxic. If the vets thinks that the dog ate something and there is a blockage then surgery is usually what happens next. A couple months ago my sister's Cairn Terrier ate her Birkinstock sandel. She found the sandal missing 3 straps and 3 buckles. She called the vets and he said give it time to pass. After a day the dog was spitting up foam and having loose bowels movements. X-Rays were taken and you could see leather and buckles stuck in the intestines. Her dog had to have surgery and they found all the missing sandal. He is fine now.
