I incubated chicken eggs before and of the three that hatched, all three were roosters. It was an interesting experience though.
LOL! I meant chickens not hensMy mum has connections in that area so I should still be able to find somewhere for them to go-but to be honest I think I'm gonna go with either quails or turkeys because they will be easier to place. My mum has often talked about raising turkeys for Christmas and I know that will upset some people but I'd rather know my Christmas turkey came from a happy life, free roaming and well looked after than a miserable life in a cage were it was forced fed and deformed!
The quails are my first choice at the moment though and I've found a great breeder to get my hatching eggs!
