it is just for looks...just makes them look more alert, lol
either way up or down, it gives them character...but by experience, and other posts, teething can affect the ears from standing up. riley has just about lost all of her double teeth, and her ears r standing up alot more often...she just turned one a week ago...we didn't get her tips shaved right away either...i think that would help....i just called her my little yoda, and said her floppy ears were lazy, lol
depends on them using there muscles or not...i whistle to get a reaction, if i want her to lift up them ...
