I did spend my day on the phone with the Florida Dept of Agriculture and we will be pursuing legal action against the breeder. At this point, it's not the money she stole from me as much as the principle of the matter. I do have a copy of the complaint forms and will be mailing them in on monday. I've also filed a report with my police dept and have instructions on how to file a civil suit here in Utah against the breeder. It's a lot easier to do than I thought it would be. |
Just an fyi....should the court find in your favor, it's very likely Emma will still need to be returned to the original owner. She shouldn't be placed in another home until the legal issues are resolved.
