Default Dog Vs. Baby

When we picked Crumb up from the breeder, he had been sprayed with perfume, had a blue ribbon on his head, and it seems had never set foot outside. That floored me. She asked, 'do you plan to let him outdoors?' I got a Yorkie because I heard that had great temperments, were small enough to easily travel with, and were smart, and cute. It never occured to me that they might not be dogs. Don't all dogs need to rut around and be outdoors? In all fairness, she was a nice lady who cared a lot, but I was pretty put off that Crumb, because he was so small, just 3 lbs, should be dressed up like a doll and coddled like a baby.

He's a dog. I washed the perfume off first thing and got that wonderful puppy dog smell. He's calm and a fast, fast learner, so he doesn't whine, get needy, have anxiety attacks, or fear much. He's had all his puppy shots, so he's been to several dog parks, the beach, ruts around in dirt, and generally acts like a dog.

I love the hell out of him! Truth be told, he's so damn cute I find myself talking baby talk to him. When he wakes up in the morning, you want to just hug him so much beacuse it's so damn cute, especially the gurgle noises he makes and his stretches.

On second thought just forget everything I wrote above. He's my baby! God help me, I'm even looking for a jacket for him.
