I would take him to the vet asap too. I just had to do this with my littlest puppy. The vet gave us antibiotic drops and it was better by the very next day. The drops were not expensive. I took him in for his follow up and the vet said since it was caught right away, there was no damage to the cornea. That was my concern. Being a half-blind glasses-wearer, I am always careful when it comes to the eyes.
