Never worry about asking questions, that's why we are all here. To learn, share, laugh, and learn some more! I think you looking into an X-pen is wonderful. It might be your best investment yet for Adakin.
With pooping/peeing in his kennel, it just to me seems almost impossible for Yorkies to go all day and hold it. Yorkie's go quite a bit as they have such smaller bladders. I have never felt it safe to force a Yorkie or other smaller breed to hold it for such long periods. I feel other health issues might occur from doing so with their bladder, etc.
Alah is an absoulte beautiful name for your baby girl.
