Default Oh no he didn't!!

Last night I took Tobie out to potty when I noticed he was chomping on something. I picked him up to see what he had and saw it was something white. I stuck my fingers his his mouth to try to get it out and he tried to bite me! When he dropped it, I saw that it was a piece of a bone! gross. Have no idea what animal its from or how it got there. Anyway, how should I handle that? My first instinct was to lightly spank his bottom but I don't want to do that. I just told yelled at him no and told him to "drop it" - even though he has no idea what that means. Is this normal? How do I let him know thats not okay? He has never done this before. Today he had pulled some fuzz out of a blanket and I picked him up and got that out of his mouth just fine. Any advice?
