Then last year he had the pin slip in his neck and needed surgery ASAP he had the surgery done that is when the surgeon told me not to expect him to walk because it has already been 2 years and no walking by then didn't look to promising. I took him to water therapy in August of 2008 and Melody(his water therapist) told me it looked like he depended on the chair to much and she thought he walked hunched up in it. She suggested for me to try one of her slings. SO I used it for a while till BB got is own sling and he did really good. Well that was until winter hit and he did not walk much after that. He did some in my house(which is not big at all) and at water therapy. Then we knew as soon as spring hit he would want to be outside. Well I have been walking him in his sling for over week now and yesterday the miracle happend.
Babybear's story is on his dogster page at Dog profile for Wheelie Boy Babybear® , a male Yorkshire Terrier
I know a lot of people have been asking about it. I believe his story is the second story in his diary. Please if you have a chance this dogster page of his has video of him learning how to use his wheelchair, water therapy, acupuncture and so on. Some things you will need to click on in order to see more like his videos you will have to go to his video library. |
Thank you!!.....I didn't realize it had been that long!......I can't blame you for tearing up over and over again!!....It must feel so surreal!!..... I hope BB runs like the wind for now and forever!!......
