Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is not what is being used in the microchips, RFID use tracking radio waves; it's a completely different thing, and I agree more studies are needed to determine their safety. It probably similar technology to the tracking collar that seainthecity speaks about in post 41, but it has nothing to do with microchips, and their safety has been clearly proven.
Here is information on the RFID tracking devices, sometimes they are used on passports and things of that nature.
