Thanks for the info. My little silky terrier (9-10 lbs) had three puppies on the 16th. We have homes for them all, but the lady taking the little boy is anxious to get him home. They will be eight weeks on the 11th of May. Her hurry is that she has a trip to Estonia that has been planned forever, and she leaves on Jun 20th. If she takes him home at 8 weeks, it gives her a little over a month to work with him on potty training, etc. She does have people at home that will watch him while she's gone, but she is the principle trainer. We got our Silky at 10 weeks, and I thought she seemed little and fragile then (two years ago)! I remember I gave her a bath that first week we had her, and she shivered and seemed so cold, and I worried I'd harmed her. I put her in my shirt to warm her up! |
