I'm sorry to hear about Jessie's stroke and hoping she will make a full recovery!

I do believe dogs have abilities we don't fully understand. The last year of our 14 year old blue heeler's (Patch) life she was blind and partially deaf. My son's younger lab (Dolly) would lead Patch around the yard. When storms were approaching and we would bring them inside, Dolly would wait for Patch, she wouldn't come in until Patch did.
