I can see how at three months it would be okay depending on where you live. But mine are only 3 1/2 weeks old right now. Even later, I probably won't let them on the ground. We live in the country and hawks have circled my grown yorkies let alone little puppies. I don't want to have to fight one of those things off. It was hard enough to stand guard over mine when they were little one at a time, but 5 little ones -- that would be too scary. Also, wild animals sometimes go through our yard, even though it is all fenced. We have seen various snakes, raccoons, possums, squirrels,and a peacock (really! A peacock from one of the neighbors farms) and lots of others animals outside the fence. Besides the physical danger these might present, there is also the matter of potential disease from their "waste by-products." Puppies without all their shots would not be safe playing on the ground here.
