For me, this was the worst, Chloe was tiny, but Lacey was extremely small, I was a wreck. Actually Chloe was a little shaky the day I brought her home, Lacey was the champ. They did have pain meds but Lacey did not need them. My vet kept mine until the next a.m. but it's because Chloe threw up right after surgery and Lacey was so small. Lacey had teeth removed as well. I think I gave mine boiled chicken and white rice for a couple of days and then back to dry food. So, it's perfectly normal to get nervous and usually everything goes very well.
