You won't see an avatar when you are looking at the forum topics, only when you open a thread. If your image code has been turned off you can turn it on, admin can't do this. To turn it back on depends on which browser you are using. For Internet Explorer, you go to "Tools" then "Internet Options" then select "advanced" then under multimedia, select "show pictures." Other browsers are done in a similar fashion the words are just different.
