 Liver disease
My 5 yr old Maltese Ellie is very sick with liver disease, she also has pancreatic insufficiency. She was doing well until late January when she caught Lepto. She did well on the meds and I thought she had pulled through. Two weeks ago she started to have HE symptoms, she is currently on Lactulose and it is helping. She is also on vitamin E, Denosly, and ursodiol and viokase. I am waiting for UCDavis to reformulate her homemade diet so she is eating Hills LD. Ellie does not have a shunt. Any suggestions would be appriciated.
