As for the soft coat..puppy coats are deceptive and you might not know what texture the coat will be til the puppy coat is shed. IF, the coat continues to be soft, and IF you want a longer coat, use thinning shears and hold the layers up, starting at the part down the back. Take a few whacks with the thinners til you have an approximate amt that you like. Both hobbyists and show breeders manage full, unruly coats that way.

Thanks for this info,, I noticed Bailey changing on his hips also, but I thought it would be more on his back at the part,, now I know,, he's starting to go through " the Change" LOL
