bjh, of course there's nothing wrong with asking questions or having a different point of view. However, on a sensitive issue, it doesn't hurt to be tactful. If you do have useful information, it's all the more important to say it in a useful way. Saying someone was upset that their dog wasn't PTS fast enough is very unkind.

I lost a human companion some years ago and it was mind-boggling how many people came out of the woodwork to lecture and berate me on the proper way to grieve. I'm going to stop posting on this thread because it is getting me so mad to see people behaving the same way.
