You thought she was already dead when you posted that and then you find out the vet did not have the heart to put your precious baby to sleep because he had compassion in his heart to try and save her. If he had examined her how do you know that he did not give her something to ease her pain? Why are you mad? This vet saved your babies life and wanted to give her a second chance. If you don't have the funds for her treatment and this vet says he can save her then why did you take her away? I don't know what is wrong with your baby and yes she may be hurting but if she is young and otherwise healthy then please seek treatment for her, even if it means giving her up. I am sorry you are having to go through all this, I know it hurts when our little one suffer.
I don't want to judge but seldom will a vet step in and want to take custody unless he sees something that does not sit right with him. Possibly the funds to fix her, possibly something else, but please think beyond your own feelings and allow this vet to do what is necessary to ease her suffering and fix her even if that does mean giving her up to him. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is the right thing. Elaine
