Is he a pup? My 2 girls didn't like having their hair put up when they were puppies either...it was a HUGE chore...Lillie has very long hair, I buy the little fabric cover elastic (with bows attached) from walmart. They are in the childrens section, for Lillie...Sadie doesn't have a nice coat like Lille does. I bought (also from walmart) elastics that are made of more like a plastic...You get hundreds of them in a package. And,....you don't have to take them out..all you have to do is cut them with scissors..no pulling on the hair. Once they get used to you doing this it won't be so much of a chore. I sit them on my lap..makes it easier and they can't walk away. Don't get me wrong!!! they still aren't crazy about me doing this but, it is easier now than when they were pups...He will get used to it if you just do it everyday.
