My yorkie used to get sick everytime got into the car. I started by timing his outing to be at least two to three hours after he'd eaten and taking him on short rides. I bought a car seat from ladogcompany.com and put it in the front seat (where he's less likely to get sick). My car automatically turns off the airbags when he's in the front seat, if your car doesn't do this, don't put your pup in the front!
I started increasing the amount of time we spend out and slowly started taking him down freeway onramps that twist and wind. He's gotten use to it, but on long trips he still has trouble. I keep him buckled into his car seat with a puppy pad and he throws up on it instead of all over my car. |
