Yes, still get a BAT done on your puppy as normal parents can still produce a puppy with a shunt. Until Dr. Center finds a genetic marker for shunts, the protocol is for all affected breeds like Yorkies to have BAT's once they reach twenty weeks old.
Is 20 weeks the ideal age for the test?

I have heard different things...
