I strongly feel with the economy the way that it is, puppy mills are going to be on the rise also. To only make matters worse, there are going to be more and more animals turned over to shelters, or just plain abandoned due to the fact that people aren't going to be able to provide for them. I found a yorkie in a shelter just one county over while looking on petfinder, he already had several applications, just last week, and that is the first yorkie I have ever found to be what I would consider local.
