Default Hoping that I can get some suggestions...

Hello everyone I have an issue that I am hoping I can get some suggestions and opinions on. My mother has a shih-tzu puppy Mickey. He is 1 years old today. I have a 1-year-old Yorkie Mix names Phoebe. Mickey LOVES!!! Phoebe. Whenever go over to my mothers, Mickey is beyond excited and so is Phoebe. However eventually we get into a problem. FYI: They are both spayed and neutered
Phoebe loves to play and run and be crazy with Mickey but then she wants to relax and have some "chill time". BUT Mickey CANNOT contain himself and wants to continue to play and play he will jump on her, "play bite her" and chase her. When this happens, Phoebe tries to leave. Once that meant scaling the rocks in my mother’s yard and literally leaving, (my mother has since put up a fence). Or she will jump to a place Mickey cannot get her because his legs are a lot shorter then hers. She gets stressed out. A few months back my mother went on vacation I offered to house sit and take care of Mickey and brought Phoebe with me. By the 4th day, Phoebe really HAD IT with Mickey and had a melt down so I took her home and didn't bring her back the rest of the time I was there. She likes him very much but gets sick of him and then is desperate to get away from him. I was at my mother’s house yesterday and by the time we left, she was more then ready!
So here is my problem. My mother is going on vacation again in a couple of weeks and I will be taking care of Mickey and her house. I will be staying there for the most part. I would like to bring Phoebe with me as much as I can if not the whole time but with the way Mickey is I know that’s not going to work. But I would like it too. My husband works late and I don't want to leave Phoebe alone a lot or Mickey either. When it is just Mickey and I, he is a perfect well-behaved dog. When you add Phoebe, he just loses control. He is a socialized dog; he goes to daycare and out a lot. What can I do to make Mickey calm down? I can put him in his crate but then I feel bad. Should I just put him in his crate when he won't let up on her? Does anyone have any suggestions? They are both very good dogs (most of the time ) I would really love for them to play nice together and be able to have some downtime with each other as well. Anyone have any ideas?
