After attending a small canine 'faire' this weekend and silently listening to conversation I greatly fear that the Puppy Mill situations are about to get worse in the Midwest.

With the RV industry collapse and most of the work force unemployed and with 60% of that workforce Amish in Northern Indiana they are turning to tried and true avenues of making money. Puppies. It's a cash crop.

I know for a fact that a gentleman sold 4 pug puppies at this gathering and with what was said I feel it may have been to a broker.

Now I can understand amping up one part of your financials when another fails and as long as they run a clean shop and do what they're supposed to I don't have a problem BUT having been past a number of these places I see the potential if not already the fact that it's getting ready to get bad and with no one to call that can do anything the frustration is already starting to build.
