Sometimes we bend our own values to help out a friend.

I will continue to ask people to not buy from pet stores and over the Internet because the majority of those dogs come from puppy mills, and that's one way to fight puppy mills, however, if all the dogs supplied to pet stores came from humane breeders, I wouldn't have a problem with pets being sold or ordered through pet stores, as long as certain conditions were meant. I also think pet stores should have the right to refuse certain customers, and that's my primary fault of pet stores. So few breeders really scrutinize customers, and this is something I wish more of them did.
Thank you for a little bit of common sense.

I know there is a lot of passion around this issue, but the kind of witch hunt that this thread and others like it have turned into just turns my stomach.

Honestly, I read stories of Yorkie abuse at least once a week from people right here on the forum who love their pups, but are clueless about what they really need. People who don't get their dogs to the vet when they need to, use inappropriate discipline, put them in unsafe environments. To hear people on this forum, you would think only breeders are abusive.

No matter who you are or how you deal with your dog, there will be someone who thinks they're doing it better and will condemn you. They always start a sentence with, "Nobody who loves their dog would ever..."

I hope some of you will take a good hard long look in the mirror before you decide to join in the type of character assasination that's going on here.
