All chemicals have risks.
I wouldn't use anything unless I had to.
We do get our house sprayed for bugs because we won't live with them...
this keeps the fleas away and hasn't caused a problem.
It works well for us because usually Ellie doesn't even need flea preventative, so it is actually safer for her.
