See I am just so fed up with rude people and have decided that if they feel it necessary to make rude comments to me, I've no problem replying, in my sweetest-dripping with sugar southern accent, "Well bless your little heart, are you having fun on your day out from the rock you live under?"
But in this case I'd probably say something like, "What kind of a
REAL man isn't aware of his surroundings and allows himself to become tangled up by a fu-fu little dog? Well see, that's the key word, isn't it. No
REAL man would." Say it with a smile and that look of pity you use when dealing with people of smaller minds.
