I agree with everyone saying to have his bile acids tested....picky eating is one of the common signs of liver issues.... My Quinn has MVD and one of his signs was being a picky eater..... what happens is that they eat a food and it then makes them feel nauseous and not well, and they don't want to eat that food again.....
Let us know how you make out at the vets... my first step would be to rule out any medical issues....
My mother's dog on the other hand also will not eat out of a bowl....he eats on a plate
