Tonight I was taking Brandi for last walk of the day. Normally when I walked her she usually walks at brisk pace to where she pottys. Tonight was different. I live in a wooded area and for some strange reason Brandi kept stopping and looking into the woods.
Needless to say on the way back, I picked Brandi up and carried her back in the house. I was more concerned for her safety more than my own. I wasn't taking any chances. I read such horror storys of dogs getting attacked. I am extremely protective of Brandi. If she sneezes.....i'm like "are you okay?" and ready to rush her to the vet.
Tommorrow she has vet appointment for an injection of antibiotics. I noticed blood in her urine and took her to the vet. The vet took blood samples and called be back to let me know they did see some signs of bacteria and they want me to bring her back in so she can this shot. Well you know I am even worried about that. Other than that she is okay. She still as greedy as ever and she's not lethargic. So the vet seems think it's a urinay tract infection. She has no other symptons.
The only time I feel like she is truly safe is when she is sleeping next to me at night. Most of the time I am okay and don't really worry about her but tonight made me really nervous.
