first off, Id wait on taking your little one outside yet..until all her shots are finished. We put scamp in a playpen in our room near our bed at night, he does great, and has never had an accident--he has a pee pad in one end and a blanket bed in the other with a few chew toys-- then during the day he spends most of the time in the kitchen, gated in with his food/water, bed and toys. I take him out to play with me and the kids several times a day when I am able to constantly supervise (I have a one year old and watch two other young children so cant leave puppy unsupervised no matter what), and he hangs and plays with me and hubby at night of coarse, and lays around with us watching tv, etc. He whines at the gate occasionally while in the kitchen but Im pretty strict on saying no or "eennnt", and eventually he lays down or plays. He has never had an accident in the kitchen--used pee pad routinely. I try hard to not allow the opportunity for accidents since hes so young....in the rest of the house...but of coarse we've had our share. I immediately remove him from the situation and put him on pee pad....we arent taking him outside until he has had all his shots.
Id say the crate in your room at night is fine, then the kitchen or bathroom with a gate at the door, pee pad, bed, toys, etc with her so she has room to play, n ad sleep, while you are away.
Good luck!
