Hi Debra- I don't use it anymore because Layla has pancreatitis and is on a nutritionist recommended diet (otherwise she would still be on it) so i'm just using what she suggested.
I have a holistic dog care book and it says it is just fine- as well as adding a small amount of garlic (which is usually controversial- however I think in small amounts it is ok).
where did you read it may be harmful? i've seen it added to dog kibbles and many over the counter supplements.
