From what I have read cats do not get parvo, they get something called Panleukopenia Virus and it is not transmitted to dogs. I guess if you ever have stray dogs in your yard you could have tracked it in that way. I still have to wonder if the puppy actually has parvo. If she does then I would be concerned about the other puppies. Has this puppy had anything stressful going on the last few days prior to being sick? Often puppies can be in contact with the parvo virus but not have an outbreak until they get stressed about something. |
Nothing really stressful as far as I know...for the most part it's been business as usual around here. And yeah, we are very concerned about the other pups...I got vaccines from the vet Friday night and administered them as soon as I got home. We are hoping that giving them the vaccine will help to counteract the virus, if they have it.
