We've had Ella for 7 months, and she's been on her own during the day for a month now, but she only started the wall scratching within the last week. I though separation anxiety was more pervasive--not something she would have some days and not others.
I think some of it might be the exercising. We had a cold front come through and didn't take her or Jack out for walks. Since the weather has gotten better, we're back on our walk schedule and she's been better. We've also picked up some more interactive toys for during the day and plan on letting Jack out of his pen to keep her company during the day.
