Jett is about 9 months old; Jorja is 4 months old. They are not related. They came from different breeders in opposite parts of the state. They have been well loved in an active home with me, my husband, our 11 year old and our 13 year old. They've never been hit or yelled at. We do believe in positive action reinforcement for all behavioral issues.

Both of them will not come to us when we call them by name. Both of them back away when we kneel to their level and try to pick them up.

Now, I realize that there are times when a dog does not want to be handled but sometimes they DO need to be picked up or removed from a situation---and dog gone it! but sometimes I just want to cuddle the little buggers.

What gives? Is this typical Yorkie behavior?
