I'm sorry the police treated you this way, I've been a Police Officer for 21 years and one thing I have learned we help people in any way we can crime related or not. This may be crime related if the person found your dog and now won't give it back it is a larceny and it is a crime. If it is a misdemeanor or a felony depends on the worth of the property. Which me being a new Yorkie owner I couldn't put a price on it. It probably would be a Felony depending on you state. Always remember this if the local police will not help try the State Police and maybe call local TV station maybe they will do a story on it. One thing the police don't like is other departments doing there job for them or looking bad on TV. I hope when you were at the police station you ask to speak to a supervisor. I really hope you find you dog, I will be praying for you. |
