No worries about the Yorkies. They are all young, and a highly sought after adoptable breed here in South FL. Adoption events are held almost every Sunday at Petsmart stores throughout South Florida. We also post them throughout the area to all rescue groups, so they have a 100% chance of adoption.

I can't say that for many of the other dogs there. The kill rate is extremely high at this shelter. Each year, the shelter impounds more than 34,000 pets. December of 2008 was a record breaking month for adoptions which totaled 700 pets. Now you do the math on that one. Anywhere from 100 to 150 pets are euthanized DAILY.
