AKC will not allow you to register him..no one has any idea who his parents are ...he may well be a purebred Yorkie, but unless you know the breeder and can get his registration info, AKC will not talk to you much beyond NO!
He could be from another country and shipped to the US..very common...there are dozens valid reasons for AKC denying papers.
