I was bummed out the other day when I was out on a walk and a woman looked at my Yorkie and told me he wasn't a REAL Yorkie cause he was too big and that I spent a lot of money for a mix. He's 8 lbs and 6 months old. Being new at this "Yorkie" thing - I called my vet and asked is this possible? Did I get ripped off? He laughed at me and said they come in all sizes and as a matter of fact - the original Yorkies back in the 1800's weighed more like 15 pounds. I felt better and took my teapot out for another walk hoping to drop a tootsie roll on her lawn.
