Do Not let this behavior get going
A lot of dogs get food aggressive and aggressive over some objects
If you ever see a pack of wolves around a carcas you'll see that snarling and snapping is actually a dog behavior around food
But it's not acceptable around people
Don't be afraid of you dog
You need to get in there and be able to take the food or the toy from them
