A few months back I got interest in this theory ... bought books ... studied ... started cooking "healthy" for my picky eater! Next visit to Dr. Lucy for a checkup and Miss Prissy Paws was almost 1/2 lb. overweight!! Got a "chewing out" by Dr. Lucy and was told to get her back on her dog food and be "tough"!!! So, we did because we trust our vet and her judgement completely! The next month when we took the "porky yorkie" in for a checkup after a month of being "tough" and sticking to our guns, Miss Paws tipped the scales at 4 lb.!!! We had been so proud of ourselves ... been so tough ... Dr. Lucy weighed her 3 times ... thought something must be wrong with her scale?!!! While nobody was looking, our baby had a little growth spurt! She wasn't overweight this time! We did a great job switching her back to her healthy dog food ... fruit ... veggies ... and other little "treats" that are good for her! We're trusting Dr. Lucy and sticking with the dog food!! The reason? I don't think she would ever make a disclaimer like the one below from the website ... and I DO hold her liable for my Toto's health!!
