Now I understand that this beloved dog is not a particularly good example of the Yorkshire Terrier. But she is almost seven months old and weighs a tad over 8 pounds. She is kind of long (we accuse her of a wiener dog great grandpa) and her ears are big but come on! She is clearly recognizable as a Yorkie and, so far anyway, just a pound over the breed standard!!! Are tiny Yorkies so common that an eight pound dog would make a person say " That looks like a Yorkie, but it is way too big" !!
Just a little venting. I don't like nobody to dis my baby! Picture of of her sweet face with a dirty nose yesterday resting after a fun time outside.

Well now that I have Mika (9lbs or more), and next to her Maya (3), I get asked all the time, pointing at Mika..what is THAT one?
Then there is ...is the little one a teacup.
Roll eyes.
