Congrats on your new baby. You are in for a world of love!

Am I the only one who actually buys treats from a Pet store? LOL
We got Nutro puppy treats that look like a turkey drumstick and broke off a piece for every successful potty. Tiki was actually pad trained when we got her at 10 weeks and took to outside potty very quickly. After about 6 months, she refused to use her potty pad and only wanted to go outside. Once in a while she goes during the night but very seldom. She goes as soon as we get up and the last thing at night, outside to go potty and then get her teeth brushed before bed.

Her other good girl treats are Pupperoni that we buy at the Pet store or at Target or WalMart. These are her "good girl" treats and what we used to teach her all of her tricks.

Her very favorite thing to chew on is her twisted string rope toy chewie. We usually can find them at the Dollar store with 3 to a pack. These are very small ones made of cotton string, just perfect for little Yorkie mouths. One we found was a bit bigger but actually has dental floss in it so that is good for her teeth too. We only caught her chewing on a blanket one time and scolded her with "No Tiki, No", very firmly and put her away from it. She never touched it or anything she shouldn't chew on again. She has a round dog bed full of chew toys from the chewie ropes to stuffed toys. She doesn't like the rubber squeaky ones that smell so horrendous. We have bought some of them that were packaged but she wouldn't touch them. We soaked and washed them but still "nothing doing" for her so they went to our neighbors dogs. However Tiki's brother chews his blankets all of the time and he doesn't stop, even when she tucks the chewed spot away. He digs until he finds it. He tends to chew off bites and I told her that is not good for him to be swallowing a piece of fleece blanket so she is watching it more closely. Strange the diffrerence in these two siblings. They play together all of the time but she is a lady and he is a street fighter. Not really but he is very protective of those he loves. They were here one day and our pups were playing. Our neighbor brought her springer over to visit. She walked over by us as we were sitting under the canopy and when she got close to us, here came Buddy barking and growling, telling her to get away from us. She moved away and he was fine. No siree, no other dog is getting near my peeps! Too funny.

Have so much fun with your baby!
