I'm sorry this happened to you. Did you go to an actual accountant or to one of those tax prep places? I hear too many bad stories about those places. My accountant is expensive but at least I know it's done right. We used Turbotax for years before we had an accountant and it was great until it got to complicated for us to do that way. Taxes should not be this complicated! |
This was not an error made by tax preparer (who I know well & has done my taxes for yrs) This apparently is a number that fills based off IRS data when the amt of the return was figured. She knows my daughter, she knows her age, this was not a mistake on her part. She is a premium business accoutant - who happens to do my taxes at a great discount yr, after yr due to her friendship with my parents.
