Congrats on the new baby.

I have a crate for Lexie, she is usually good about listening to me when I tell her no, don't bite, or Leave it, but when she doesn't listen, I put her in the crate for 3 -5 minutes, a little time out. This crate is also available to her for small naps, it has toys in it too for playing. If she gets too rowdy with Jazzie, I put her in the crate as well, sort of saying calm down. I read its good to do that at times to show them, its time to relax.
With Jazzie I was so scared to get her spayed, I waited, postponed, then finally took her in, uughh, what a long day that was. I was relieved to hear the vet call and say, everything is okidoky. That night she was groggy, did not do much but sleep, I did put a syringe of water in her mouth to get her to drink something, and fed her a few dry food kibbles. The next day she was acting as if NOTHING happened! oooh my gosh

. Of course I had to keep her from jumping, running after Zander, I could not believe how great she felt. Now I have to eventually get Lexie spayed, oooh, all that worrying all over again.
For treats, mine like carrots, cheerios. If she doesn't seem impressed by the cheerios, just pet her, in her tickle spot, let her know you are soooo happy she is going potty outside!
Lots of luck to you.
