The thing is this eye has always been runny. It is just worse now. I am a midwife and know that newborns sometimes have clogged tear ducts, I thought this might be the case with her but it never cleared up. It is usually no more than a mess on her face, but today it seems to be itchy and sore.
Do Yorkies, or small dogs for that matter, sometimes have weaker tear ducts? Why are runny eyes common in small dogs and what if it isn't allergies? What is it and why?
