Mum...My vet kinda said the same thing...keep her quiete for 7-10 days. I had her sleep in a twin bed with me athat was against the wall and a pillow at the end for 2 nights. She slept in a baby onesie (my dog was 8 lbs at that time and wore a size 6-9 mos.). After that she did great. She never bothered her stitches (which were actually sewn inside (3 layers) and I truly believe the onesie was my life saver. I just tried to make sure she didn't jump on the furniture. I also made sure she stayed in her playpen for most of the day for about 2 days after that. Then, she was free. Her scar has healed wonderful and she's fine. I'm sure everything will be fine. You sound like a very carrying mom and that's what she'll need right now. Just think about how you would want to be taken care of and apply the same to her. Keep us posted on Misti' recovery period.
