Default "But she's so BIG!!!" (rude comment/confirmation/teapot file)

I took Daisy to visit a friend in a hospice facility. Actually I take her about 4 times a week. She wants to go everywhere with me and they let me bring her in.

This particular time 4 people said almost exactly the same thing: : What kind of dog is that?" And when I said, "But she's so BIG!!!!"

Now I understand that this beloved dog is not a particularly good example of the Yorkshire Terrier. But she is almost seven months old and weighs a tad over 8 pounds. She is kind of long (we accuse her of a wiener dog great grandpa) and her ears are big but come on! She is clearly recognizable as a Yorkie and, so far anyway, just a pound over the breed standard!!! Are tiny Yorkies so common that an eight pound dog would make a person say " That looks like a Yorkie, but it is way too big" !!

Just a little venting. I don't like nobody to dis my baby! Picture of of her sweet face with a dirty nose yesterday resting after a fun time outside.
