Layla had a little bump right at the top of her leg, and I had felt it for about a month and just assumed it was a little pimple or something. It was tiny. Last week I noticed it felt hard and bigger and i looked and it was scabby, but if I moved the fur the scab just came right off. Then it seemed to have watery blood (brownish on a kleenex) coming out. The next night it was scabbed over again and my boyfriend looked at it, and the same thing, as soon as you moved the fur the scab seemed to come right off and it bled. Tonight it felt huge! I pulled the fur apart to take some pictures (sorry for the bad quality, my camera sucks). Just after taking the pictures I touched it with my nail and a little peice in the middle came off and it immediately started oozing blood from that spot.
Tonight and the night my boyfriend looked, Layla seemed to get really antsy. She licked at the spot and then her teeth were chattering. She walked around in circles, sniffing like she was frantically looking for something.
Has anyone experienced this before? Should I try to get her to a vet tomorrow? We're leaving town for the weekend. She seems fine otherwise... I don't know what to do! I have no idea what it could be!
