I just took mine to the emergency vet this weekend for the exact same thing. She had esopagitis and pharyngitis. The gave her some stomach meds to calm the inflammation. The antibiotics she was on for her anal gland rupture, irritated her GI tract. They think that she might have allergies adding into the mix as well.

All I know is that I am vacuuming more than I ever have. I have the cleanest carpets in the northeast!
